Femtocore: An Application Specific Processor for Vertically Integrated High Performance Real-Time Controls

چکیده

In applications that require a high availability and performance (for example aerospace),modular power electronics multi-phase machines represent an advantageous choice. this framework, control system able to handle number of PWM signals communication interfaces as well featuring computational is required. This paper proposes novel HDL plus soft-core approach be implemented on System-on-Chip hardware which allows for the efficient modular implementation modern techniques with strong guarantees in terms determinism. The proposal lies adoption very simplified optimized floating-point soft-core, femtocore (fCore) its tool-chain, C-like complex algorithms HDL-design framework. Several fCore units can arranged parallel processing time requirements even low sampling (100 kHz or more). proposed architecture experimentally validated proof-of-concept, six-phase electric machine including comparison against traditional method.
